We are a team of engineers, economists, and IP specialists who believe that process ownership will become the most valuable asset class in the AI era.
The transition from human labour to machine cognition is the most significant economic shift since the industrial revolution. When AI agents perform the majority of productive work, the question of who owns the underlying processes becomes the defining issue of our time.
We founded Cognitive Capital Markets to answer that question. Our platform, built on Holochain's distributed architecture, creates the infrastructure for process ownership — allowing anyone to register, license, and trade the cognitive processes that AI agents execute.
We chose Holochain because the ownership layer of the AI economy cannot depend on a central authority. It must be agent-centric, infinitely scalable, and governed by its participants — not by a corporation or a congested blockchain.
We believe that the people who create cognitive processes should own them — permanently, cryptographically, and without intermediaries.
We are not competing in an existing market. We are defining a new one. Cognitive Capital Markets is a category that does not yet exist — and we intend to build it.
The ownership layer of the AI economy cannot be controlled by a single company or government. It must be distributed, resilient, and governed by its participants.
Our founding backers are not just funders — they are co-creators. The platform's governance, feature priorities, and evolution are shaped by the community.
The idea began with a simple observation: as AI agents become more capable, the value of human labour decreases — but the value of the processes those agents execute increases. Someone needs to own those processes. Someone needs to track their usage. Someone needs to ensure the creators get paid.
We looked at history for patterns. In the 1800s, the most valuable asset was land. In the 1900s, it was industrial capital. In the 2000s, it was software platforms. The pattern was clear: the next great asset class would be the ownership of machine-performed processes.
We studied how oil rights created generational wealth through royalties. How music publishing turned songs into passive income streams. How patent portfolios became worth billions. And we realized: the same economic model, applied to AI work processes, could create the largest asset class in human history.
Cognitive Capital Markets was born from that realization. We are building the infrastructure that makes it possible.
Our team combines deep expertise in distributed systems, intellectual property law, financial infrastructure, and AI research.
